Isotype IgG
Specificity This antibody is specific for NGFR. Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus)
Purification Affinity Purified
Alternative Name CD271 / NGFR
Background Nerve growth factor receptor contains an extracellular domain containing four 40-aminoacid repeats with 6 cysteine residues at conserved positions followed by aserine/threonine-rich region, a single transmembrane domain, and a 155-amino acidcytoplasmic domain. The cysteine-rich region contains the nerve growth factor bindingdomain. Alternate Names: anti-NGFR antibody, anti-nerve growth factor receptor (TNFR superfamily antibody,anti-member 16) antibody, anti-HGNC antibody, anti-7809 antibody, anti-TNFRSF16antibody, anti-p75(NTR) antibody, anti-p75NTR antibody.
Gene ID 4804
NCBI Accession NP_0024981
Research Area Growth Factors, Receptors
Application Notes This antibody can be used in ELISA and Western Blot where a 75kDa band has beenobserved in Human Duodenum and Human Heart lysates. Predicted MW is 45.2kDaaccording to NP_4804. The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findingsin literature (Nykjaer et al, Curr Opin Neurobiol. 2005 Feb,15(1):49-57). Recommendeddilutions: ELISA 1/32,000. WB: 0.3-1.0ug/ml. *Optimal dilutions should be determined bythe end user.
