Immunogen Synthetic peptide: C-PSEGSLEDEELPAQ, representing the internal region of the human protein according to NP_065162.1, NP_851994.
Isotype IgG
Specificity This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_065162.1 and NP_851994.1).
Cross-Reactivity (Details) Human is Expected cross reactivity from sequence similarity.
Purification affinity purified
Alternative Name SMURF1
Background Gene ID(s): 57154 (human). Alternate Names: anti-SMURF1 antibody, anti-SMAD specific E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1antibody,anti-HGNC:16807 antibody, anti-KIAA1625antibody, anti-E3 ubiquitin ligase SMURF1antibody, anti-Smad ubiquitination regulatory factor 1 antibody, anti-Smad-specific E3ubiquitin ligase 1 antibody.
Gene Symbol: SMURF1
Gene ID 57154
NCBI Accession NP_065162.1, NP_851994
Research Area Proteolysis / Ubiquitin
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:1000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments in lysates of cell lines HEK293, A431 and HepG2 gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1ug/ml). Expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_065162.1 and NP_851994.1). We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence was reported in scientific literature.
Recommended dilutions: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Peptide ELISA detection limit 1:1000
Restrictions For Research Use only
Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer Tris-saline (pH 7.3) with 0.5 % BSA, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Aliquot and store at -20 °C or -80 °C.
