Immunogen Synthetic peptide made to an internal portion of isoform 1 of the human OS9 protein (within residues 300-400).
Specificity This is specific for isoforms 1 and 2 of human OS-9.
Purification affinity purified
Alternative Name OS9 (OS9 Antibody Abstract)
Background OS9 is an ER glycoprotein found in the intralumenal level and highly expressed in tumortissue. The OS9 gene is transcriptionally induced upon activation of the Ire1/Xbp1ER-stress pathway. Alternate Names: anti-OS9 antibody, anti-Amplified in osteosarcoma antibody.
Gene Symbol: OS9
Gene ID 10956, 216440
UniProt Q13438
Research Area Cancer
Pathways
Application Notes This OS9 antibody is useful for Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections, Immunoprecipitation and Western blot. In WB, bands can be seen at ~75 kDa representing isoform 1 and at ~70 kDa representing isoform 2.
Recommended dilutions: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence 0.2-1.0 µg/mL, Immunohistochemistry 0.5-1.0 µg/mL, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin 1:100-1:250, Immunoprecipitation 1:10-1:500, Western Blot 0.2-1.0 µg/mL
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Concentration 1 mg/mL
Buffer Tris-citrate/Phosphate, pH 7-8, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Do not freeze.
Storage 4 °C
