Immunogen Full-length His-tagged murine FOXP3 was used as the immunogen. The precise epitope is not known, but it has been mapped to the N-terminal portion of the protein (NP_001107849).
Clone 3G3
Isotype IgG1 kappa
Purification Protein G purified
Alternative Name FOXP3 (FOXP3 Antibody Abstract)
Background The fork head protein of Drosophila melanogaster, a transcription factor that promotesterminal rather than segmental development, contains neither homeodomains norzinc-fingers characteristic of other transcription factors. Instead, it contains a distincttype of DNA-binding region, containing around 100 amino acids, which has since beenidentified in a number of transcription factors (including D. melanogaster FD1-5,mammalian HNF-3, human HTLF, Saccharomyces cerevisiae HCM1, etc.). This isreferred to as the fork head domain but is also known as a 'winged helix'. The fork headdomain binds B-DNA as a monomer but shows no similarity to previously identifiedDNA-binding motifs. Although the domain is found in several different transcriptionfactors, a common function is their involvement in early developmental decisions of cellfates during embryogenesis. Alternate Names: anti-AIID antibody, anti-DIETER antibody, anti-Forkhead box P3 antibody, anti-foxp3antibody, anti-IPEX antibody, anti-JM2 antibody, anti-MGC141961 antibody,anti-MGC141963 antibody, anti-PIDX antibody, anti-SCURFIN antibody, anti-XPIDantibody.

Research Area Immunology, Adaptive Immunity, Transcription Factors
Application Notes Recommended dilutions: Flow Cytometry 100 ng/ 10^6 cells in 50 µL, Western Blot 2-5 µg/mL
Restrictions For Research Use only
Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer PBS containing 0.2 % gelatin, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment -20 °C.
