Description
This is a useful tool for the localisation and characterisation of DDDDK tagged proteins. Alternate Names: Anti-DDDDK epitope tag antibody, Anti-DYKDDDDK epitope tag antibody, Anti-ECSepitope tag antibody, Anti-ECS tag antibody, Anti-Enterokinase Cleavage Site epitopetag antibody, Anti-Enterokinase Cleavage Site tag antibody, Anti-FLAG antibody.
Specificity
ABIN254301 is specific for the hydrophilic epitope tagging octapeptide sequenceDYKDDDDK (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys), when fused to either the amino- orcarboxyl- terminus of target proteins.ABIN254301 has been tested against both the immunogen and recombinant proteinscontaining the DYKDDDDK sequence in ELISA and Western blotting and shows greaterbinding affinity and sensitivity to fusion proteins containing the DYKDDDDK sequencethan the clones M1, M2 and M5, in the majority of assays. In Western blotting of bacterial extracts this antibody has been shown not to cross-reactwith any endogenous proteins. Species Reactivity: Cross reacts with synthetic peptide.
