Alternative Name PRL3 / PTP4A3 (PTP4A3 Antibody Abstract)
Background The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a small class of prenylated protein tyrosinephosphatases (PTPs). PTPs are cell signaling molecules that play regulatory roles in avariety of cellular processes. This class of PTPs contain a PTP domain and acharacteristic C-terminal prenylation motif. Studies of this class of PTPs in micedemonstrated that they were prenylated proteins in vivo, which suggested theirassociation with cell plasma membrane. Overexpression of this gene in mammaliancells was reported to inhibit angiotensin-II induced cell calcium mobilization and promotecell growth. Two alternatively spliced variants exist. Alternate Names: anti-Potentially prenylated protein tyrosine phosphatase antibody, anti-PRL3 antibody,anti-PRLR antibody, anti-Protein tyrosine phosphatase 4a3 antibody, anti-Proteintyrosine phosphatase of regenerating liver 3 antibody, anti-Protein tyrosine phosphatasetype IVA member 3 antibody, anti-Protein tyrosine phosphatase type IVA protein 3antibody, anti-PRL-3 antibody.

Application Notes This antibody is useful for Western Blot and peptide ELISA. Approx 22kDakDa band observed in Human Pancreas lysates (calculated MW of 19.5Da according to NP_116000.1).
Recommended dilutions: Peptide ELISA detection limit 1:64000, Western Blot 0.03 µg/mL
Restrictions For Research Use only
Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer Tris saline containing [pH 7.3] with 0.5 % BSA, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment -20 °C.
