Immunogen Synthetic peptide made to an internal portion of human SG2NA (within residues 200-300).
Clone S68
Isotype IgG1
Specificity This antibody is specific for SG2NA. It does not cross-react with Striatin.
Purification Ascites
Alternative Name Striatin-3 / SG2NA (STRN3 Antibody Abstract)
Background SG2NA was identified as a human cancer autoantigen and has now been implicated invesicular trafficking and signal transduction. It is highly related to striatin and zinedin. Itis a scaffolding protein that binds PP2A A and C subunits as well as the human homologof the yeast protein, Mob1, which has been implicated in control of mitotic progression inyeast. It also binds calmodulin and appears to modulate PP2A activity. Alternate Names: anti-Striatin-3 antibody, anti- Cell-cycle autoantigen SG2NA antibody, anti-S/G2 antigenantibody, anti-STRN3 antibody, anti-GS2NA antibody.
Gene Symbol: STRN3
Gene ID 29966
UniProt Q13033
Application Notes This SG2NA antibody is useful in Western blot, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. In WB a band can be seen at ~90 kDa.
Recommended dilutions: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence 1:5000, Immunoprecipitation 1:10-1:500, Western Blot 1:250-1:2000
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage 4 °C
Storage Comment 4 °C short term. Aliquot and store at -20 °C long term.
