Description
|
This protein is a small GTPase of the Rho subfamily, which regulates signalingpathways that control diverse cellular functions including cell morphology, migration, endocytosis and cell cycle progression. This protein is highly similar to Saccharomycescerevisiae Cdc42, and is able to complement the yeast cdc42 1 mutant. The product ofoncogene Dbl was reported to specifically catalyze the dissociation of GDP from thisprotein. This protein could regulate actin polymerization through its direct binding toNeural Wiskott Aldrich syndrome protein (NWASP), which subsequently activatesArp2/3 complex. Alternative splicing of this gene results in at least two transcriptvariants. Alternate Names: anti-CDC 42 antibody, anti-CDC42Hs antibody, anti-Cell division control protein 42homolog antibody, anti-Cell division cycle 42 antibody, anti-Cell division cycle 42 isoform1 antibody, anti-Cell division cycle 42 isoform 2 antibody, anti-dJ224A6.1.1 antibody,anti-dJ224A6.1.2 antibody, anti-G25K antibody, anti-G25K GTP binding proteinantibody, anti-Growth regulating protein antibody, anti-GTP binding protein 25kDantibody, anti-Small GTP binding protein CDC42 antibody.
