Description

This gene is a member of the leucine-rich repeat kinase family and encodes a proteinwith an ankryin repeat region, a leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain, a kinase domain, aDFG-like motif, a RAS domain, a GTPase domain, a MLK-like domain, and a WD40domain. The protein is present largely in the cytoplasm but also associates with themitochondrial outer membrane. Mutations in this gene have been associated withParkinson disease-8. Alternate Names: anti-LRRK2 antibody, anti-PARK8 antibody, anti-ROCO2 antibody, anti-FLJ45829antibody, anti-DKFZp434H2111 antibody, anti-leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 antibody,anti-dardarin antibody, anti-Parkinson disease (autosomal dominant) 8 antibody.
