Immunogen A synthetic peptide made to the C-terminus of human PDZK1. This peptide sequence isalso conserved in mouse.
Specificity This antibody is specific for PDZK1. Species Reactivity: human, bovine and mouse. Does not react with rat. Localization: Cytoplasmic and associated with peripheral membranes, localizes to the apicalcompartment of proximal tubular cells and to sinusoidal liver membranes.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine)
Purification Serum
Alternative Name PDZD1
Background PDZK1 is a scaffold protein that connects plasma membrane proteins and regulatorycomponents, regulating their surface expression in epithelial cells apical domains. It maybe involved in the coordination of a diverse range of regulatory processes for iontransport and second messenger cascades. In complex with SLC9A3R1, it may clusterproteins that are functionally dependent in a mutual fashion and modulate the traffickingand the activity of the associated membrane proteins. It may also play a role in thecellular mechanisms associated with multidrug resistance through its interaction withABCC2 and PDZK1IP1. May potentiate the CFTR chloride channel activity. PDZK1functions to connect SCARB1 with the cellular machineries for intracellular cholesteroltransport and/or metabolism and may be involved in the regulation of proximal tubularNa(+)-dependent inorganic phosphate cotransport therefore playing an important role intubule function . Alternate Names: anti-PDZK 1 antibody, anti-PDZK-1 antibody, anti-PDZ domain containing protein 1antibody, anti-Synonyms CFTR-associated protein of 70 kDa antibody, anti-Na/Picotransporter C-terminal-associated protein antibody, anti-NaPi-Cap1 antibody,anti-Na(+)/H(+) exchanger regulatory factor 3 antibody, anti-Sodium-hydrogenexchanger regulatory factor 3 antibody, anti-CAP70 antibody, anti-NHERF3 antibody,anti-PDZD1 antibody.
