Additional Information

Alternative name Nucleolin
Gene ID 4691
Immunogen A fusion protein containing amino acids 284-709 of human nucleolin.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine)
Format Serum
Description Nucleolin is an abundant, 106 kDa nucleolar phosphoprotein. It is the major protein inactively dividing cells, whereas the degraded forms are relatively abundant innon-dividing cells. Stability of the nucleolin protein is cell proliferation-dependent. Itplays a role in rDNA transcription, organization, and rRNA processing. It may alter DNAorganization in response to cell cycle controls. It is also a good mammalian nucleolusmarker. Alternate Names: anti-nucl antibody, anti-protein C23 antibody, anti-NCL antibody, anti-Nucleolin antibody,anti-C23 antibody.
Specificity This antibody is specific for nucleolin protein. Species Reactivity: Human and mouse. Other species have not been tested. Localization: Nucleoli.
