Immunogen A synthetic peptide made to the N-terminal region of human FOXP3 (between residues1-50).
Specificity This antibody is specific for FOXP3. Species Reactivity: This antibody reacts with murine FOXP3 protein. It does react with human protein butvery weakly. For human reactivity, see ABIN153185. Other species have not beentested.
Cross-Reactivity Mouse (Murine)
Alternative Name FOXP3
Background FOXP3 (a 381 amino acid protein) is a member of the forkhead/winged-helix family oftranscriptional regulators and is highly conserved across mammals. FOXP3 is essentialfor normal immune homeostasis. FOXP3 is stably and constitutively expressed at a high level in CD25 + CD4 positiveregulatory T cells, a low level in CD4-positive/CD25-negative cells, and is absent inCD4-negative/CD8-positive T cells. FOXP3 may be a master regulatory gene and amore specific marker of regulatory T cells than other T cells. Alternate Names: anti-AIID antibody, anti-DIETER antibody, anti-Forkhead box P3 antibody, anti-foxp3antibody, anti-IPEX antibody, anti-JM2 antibody, anti-PIDX antibody, anti-SCURFINantibody, anti-XPID antibody.
Gene ID 50943
Research Area Immunology, Adaptive Immunity, Transcription Factors
Application Notes By Western blot, this antibody recognizes bands at ~47.2 kDa representing FOXP3.This antibody only detects transfected samples. It has not been shown to work onendogenous samples via western blot. This antibody has not been tested in any otherapplication. Suggested working dilution: *Western blot: 1:1,000-1:5,000(ECL)
