Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal of human MAP1LC3 A proteinconjugated to Blue Carrier Protein has been used as the immunogen. The sequence ishomologous with mouse and rat form of MAP1LC3 A.
Specificity IHC, WB and ELISA confirmed the specificity for MAP1LC3 A (MAP1LC3A, APG8a). Species Reactivity: Human, rat. Other species not yet tested. Localization: Accession Number: MLP3A_HUMAN , MLP3A_MOUSE , MLP3A_RAT.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Rat (Rattus)
Alternative Name LC3A
Background FUNCTION: Probably involved in formation of autophagosomal vacuoles(autophagosomes). SUBUNIT: 3 different light chains, LC1, LC2 and LC3, can associatewith MAP1A and MAP1B proteins. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: LC3-I: Cytoplasm.LC3-II: Intracytoplasmic membrane, lipid-anchor. LC3-II binds to the autophagicmembranes. PTM: The precursor molecule is cleaved by APG4B/ATG4B to form thecytosolic form, LC3-I. This is activated by APG7L/ATG7, transferred to ATG3 andconjugated to phospholipid to form the membrane-bound form, LC3-II. SIMILARITY:Belongs to the MAP1 LC3 family. Alternate Names: anti-Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3A antibody, anti-MAP1A/MAP1BLC3 A antibody, anti-MAP1A/1B light chain 3 A antibody, anti-MAP1 light chain 3-likeprotein 1 antibody, anti-Microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 alpha antibody,anti-Autophagy-related protein LC3 A antibody, anti-Autophagy-related ubiquitin-likemodifier LC3 A antibody, anti-APG8a, biosensis. GENE NAME: MAP1LC3A antibody. Related Diseases: Autophagy
Gene ID 84557, 362245
Application Notes IHC, immunofluorescence, WB. A dilution of 1:100 to 1:1000 dilution is recommendedfor these applications. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
