Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal of human MAP1LC3 B (MAP1LC3B,APG8b) protein conjugated to Blue Carrier Protein has been used as the immunogen.The peptide is homologous with the corresponding sequence derived from mouse andrat MAP1LC3 B (MAP1LC3B, APG8b) protein.
Specificity CAUTION: Ref.3 has shown that the protein is cleaved at Lys-121 but Ref.5 has shownthat the cleavage site is at Gly-119 as in other mammalian orthologs. Species Reactivity: Human, rat. Other species not yet tested. Localization: Accession Number: MLP3B_HUMAN , MLP3B_MOUSE , MLP3B_RAT.

This is activated by APG7L/ATG7, transferred to ATG3and conjugated to phospholipid to form LC3-II. SIMILARITY: Belongs to the MAP1 LC3family.
