Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to the rather N-terminal of human ATG4B proteinconjugated to Blue Carrier Protein has been used as the immunogen. The peptide ishomologous with the corresponding sequence derived from of ATG4B protein in mouseand rat.
Specificity TISSUE Mainly expressed in the skeletal muscle, followed by brain, heart, liver and pancreas. SIMILARITY: Belongs to the peptidase C54 family. Species Reactivity: Human, rat. Other species not yet tested. Localization: Accession Number: ATG4 B_HUMAN , ATG4 B_MOUSE , ATG4 B_RAT. Theoretical Molecular Weight: 44 kDa.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Rat (Rattus)
Alternative Name APG4B / ATG4B
Background FUNCTION: Cysteine protease required for autophagy, which cleaves the C-terminalpart of either MAP1LC3, GABARAPL2 or GABARAP, allowing the liberation of form I. Asubpopulation of form I is subsequently converted to a smaller form (form II). Form II,with a revealed C-terminal glycine, is considered to be the phosphatidylethanolamine(PE)-conjugated form, and has the capacity for the binding to autophagosomes.ENZYME REGULATION: Inhibited by N-ethylmaleimide. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:Cytoplasm (Probable). ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS: 5 named isoforms produced byalternative splicing. Alternate Names: anti-Cysteine protease ATG4B antibody, anti-Autophagy-related protein 4 homolog Bantibody, anti-hAPG4B antibody, anti-Autophagin-1 antibody, anti-Autophagy-relatedcysteine endopeptidase 1 antibody, anti-AUT-like 1 cysteine endopeptidase, biosensis.GENE NAME: ATG4B antibody, anti-APG4B antibody, anti-AUTL1 antibody,anti-KIAA0943 antibody. Related Diseases: Autophagy
Gene ID 23192, 316640
Application Notes Suggested working dilutions: immunohistochemistry 1:1000-1:2000,Western Blot 1:1000-1:2000, 1:1000-1:2000
Restrictions For Research Use only
