Description
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is a 180 kDa soluble protein serving as an antigen-specific unit ofmast cell effector mechanisms. IgE has the lowest serum concentration of allimmunoglobulins (approximately 0.5 mg/l) in healthy individuals, but upon allergen challengeits concentration in blood increases dramatically. Although biological survival of free IgE isvery short (T1/2 = 2 days), it is stabilized after binding to its high affinity receptor. UnlikeIgM- IgG- and IgA-committed B cells, IgE-switched B cells do not undergo clonal expansion.
Specificity
The antibody 4H10 reacts with human IgE, it recognizes an epitope different from the onesrecognized by BE5 and 4G7 antibodies to IgE.

Application Notes
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working dilution is 1-5 µg/ml. Indicated dilution is recommended starting point for use of this product. Working concentrations should be determined by the investigator.

Storage
Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent. However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
