Immunogen Recombinant human PCNA (1-261aa) purified from E. coli
Clone K1A3
Isotype IgG3
Characteristics Synonyms: Cyclin, Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen
Purification Protein-G affinity chromatography
Alternative Name PCNA
Background PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) is found in the nucleus and is a cofactor of DNApolymerase delta. This protein is associated with DNA synthesis and repair. The encodedprotein acts as a homotrimer and helps increase the processivity of leading strandsynthesis during DNA replication. It appears during late G1- phase, S-phase of mitosis andpersists until the end of the M-phase because of its long biological half-life. PCNA may beinduced by UV irradiation, growth factors and eventually by neighboring tumors.
UniProt P12004
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Chromatin Binding Proteins, DNA/RNA, Proliferation Markers
Application Notes ELISA. Western blot: 1: 1,000 ~ 1: 3,000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
