| Description | CCR3 is a receptor for CC chemokine eotaxin 1 and eotaxin 2. CCR3 has been reported inblood, brain, lung, bone marrow, kidney, liver, lymph node, placenta, skin, spleen, thymus, thyroid, uterus, and vessel. Within these tissues, CCR3 is expressed in specificcell types, including eosinophils, basophils, Th2 cells, and mast cells. The agonists forCXCR3 (IP-10, mig, and I-TAC) act as antagonists for CCR3 by competing for the binding ofeotaxin to CCR3. The 356 amino acid CCR3 receptor is expressed on human eosinophils, basophils, neutrophils, mast cells, mononuclear phagocytes, platelets, CD34+hematopoietic progenitor cells, Th2 like lymphocytes, and keratinocytes. CCR3 is thoughtto play a key role in allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. CCR3is a co-receptor for HIV 1 and 2 and the binding of eotaxin with CCR3 has been shown toinhibit HIV infection in some cell types. The CCR3 receptor has been reported to beupregulated by high affinity Fc IgE receptor ligation. Human CCR 3 is a receptor for CC chemokine eotaxin-1 and eotaxin-2. CCR 3 is constitutively expressed on eosinophils, small intestine and colon. The human CCR 3 protein contains 356 amino acids. |
| Specificity | This antibody detects C-C Chemokine Receptor 3 (CCR3). Species Reactivity: Tested: Human. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Immunohistochemsitry on Paraffin Sections (10 µg/ml). Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1xTBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
