Additional Information
| Alternative name | Cytokeratin 20 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptides from the c-terminus of human Cytokeratin 20 protein |
| Format | Supernatant |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Clone | BV12 |
| Description | Cytokeratin 20 is a Type-I keratin, which is expressed primarily in gastric and intestinal epithelium, urothelium, and Merkel-cells. Cytokeratin 20 is expressed in adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomach, pancreas and the bile system. Cytokeratin 20 is also present in mucinous ovarian tumors, transitional-cell and Merkel-cell carcinomas. Notably, the squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas of the breast, lung, and endometrium, non-mucinous tumors of the ovary, and small cell carcinomas lack in Cytokeratin 20. |

Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25 to 1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Colon carcinoma |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Purification | Supernatant |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant and diluted in buffer pH 7.5, containing BSA and sodium azide as a preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Cancer, Cytoskeleton, Extracellular Matrix |
