Additional Information

Alternative name Microphthalmia (MiTF)
Immunogen BALB/C mice were injected with N-terminal fragment of human Mi protein.
Format Ig-fraction
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone D5
Specificity This antibody reacts with a 52-56 kD protein known as Microphthalmia (Mi). This antibody reacts with both melanocytic and non-melanocytic isoforms of Mi. Mi is a basic helix-loop-helix-leucin zipper (b-HLH-ZIP) transcription factor implicated in pigmentation, mast cells and bone development. There are two known isoforms of Mi differing by 66 amino acids at the NH2 terminus.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the end user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining.
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
