Additional Information

Immunogen Human CD34+ bone marrow cells
Isotype IgM, lambda chain
Clone STRO-1
Description STRO-1 is a cell surface antigen recognized by mAb STRO-1. It is expressed by bone marrow mesenchymal stromalcells and nucleated erythroid precursors, but not by committed hematopoietic progenitors. In combination withglycophorin A (GPA), STRO-1 is a useful marker for identification of mesenchymal stem cells. It has been reportedthat STRO-1+/GPA- bone marrow cell subset can be used as a universal stromal feeder layer for hematopoieticstem/progenitor cells. This subset of cells has multipotent to differentiate into fibroblasts, adipocytes, osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and vascular smooth muscle-like cells.

Application Details

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is 20 ul per 106 cells in 100 ul volume or 100 ulof whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimalperformance for each application.
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withAlexa Fluor 647 under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated Alexa Fluor 647.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Restrictions For Research Use only
