Description: CD122 is a 70-75 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the Ig superfamily. It is IL-2 receptor beta chainalso known as IL-2Rbeta, which is also shared by the IL-15 receptor. CD122 is constitutively expressed by NK cells andat lower levels by a subset of T cells. Its expression is upregulated upon activation. The IL-2Rbeta chain can combinewith either the common gamma subunit (gammac, CD132) alone or with the gammac subunit and the IL-2Ralpha subunit (CD25) to generateintermediate or high affinity IL-2 receptor complexes, respectively. CD122 expression levels can be upregulated byactivation.

Application Details

Application Notes: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 20 ul per million cells or 20 ul per 100 ul of wholeblood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. Additional reported applications include: immunoprecipitation, blocks IL-2 binding to CD122,partially inhibits IL-2induced cell proliferation

Purification: The antibody was conjugated with APC under optimal conditions, and is at>85% purity. The solution is free of unconjugated APC and unconjugatedantibody.

Buffer: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
