Additional Information

Alternative name CD36
Immunogen Human platelets
Isotype IgG2a, kappa chain
Clone 5-271
Description CD36 is an 85 kD integral membrane glycoprotein, also known as GPIIIb, or GPIV. It is expressed on variousepithelial and endothelial cells as well as erythrocytes, platelets, macrophages/monocytes and somemacrophage-derived dendritic cells. CD36 functions as a scavenger receptor, binding thrombospondin, long chainfatty acids, oxidized LDL, collagen type I, IV, and V as well as apoptotic cells. The 5-271 antibody has been reportedto be useful for flow cytometry.

Application Details

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withAPC under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated APC andunconjugated antibody.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
