Description
Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are type I transmembrane signaling receptors characterized by containing leucine-richrepeats (LRR) extracellular domain and IL-1 receptor like intracellular domain. TLRs are responsible for recognizingpathogen-associated molecule patterns (PAMPs). They are primary sensors of both innate and adaptive immunesystems. To date a total of 12 TLRs have been indentified. Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1), known as CD281, is expressedon monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and granulocytes and some lymphocytes at low levels. By associationwith TLR2, TLR1 is a coreceptor involved in the response to diverse set of pathogens, such as triacylatedlipopeptidess (but not diacylated lipopeptides), peptidoglycans, lipoteichoic acid.

Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 2.0 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul volume. It isrecommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for eachapplication. Other reported applications include immunoprecipitation1
