Additional Information

Alternative name IL-15Ra
Isotype IgG2b, kappa chain
Clone JM7A4
Description IL-15 receptor alpha (IL-15Ralpha) is a cytokine receptor with the structural homology to IL-2Ralpha (CD25). Both alpha receptorscontain a group of beta sandwich protein called sushi domains. Similar to IL-2Ralpha, IL-15Ralpha is able to form heterotrimerwith their beta chain (CD122) and common gamma chain (gammac, CD132). But unlike IL-2Ralpha subunit, IL-15Ralpha itself binds to IL-15with equivalent high affinity comparing with the heterotimeric complex. IL-15Ralpha is expressed as soluble ortransmembrane forms by variety cells, such as activated monocytes, dendrtic cells, CD8+ memory T cells, NK or NKTcells. IL-15Ralpha by itself forms stable complexes with IL-15 on cell surface and presents IL-15 in trans to neighboringcells. IL-15, like IL-2, is a pleiotropic four-helix bundle cytokine and plays a key role in promoting T and B cell survivaland proliferation, preferentially in memory CD8+ T cell proliferation, and NK/NKT cell development.

Application Details

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 1.0 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul volume or100 ul of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated foroptimal performance for each application.
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withbiotin under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated biotin.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze.
Restrictions For Research Use only
