Additional Information

Alternative name CD83
Isotype IgG1, kappa chain
Clone HB15e
Description CD83 is a 43 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as HB15. A member of the immunoglobulin superfamily,CD83 is expressed on a subset of dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, and weakly on activated lymphocytes. AlthoughCD83 is thought to play a role in antigen presentation and/or lymphocyte activation, the precise function of this proteinis unknown. CD83 is considered to be a useful marker for mature dendritic cells.

Application Details

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining in test sizes, the suggested use of this reagent is 20 ul per million cells or 20 ul per100 ul of whole blood. For immunofluorescent staining in ug size, the suggested use of this reagent is approx. 0.5 ug per 106 cells in 100 ulvolume or 100 ul of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunohistochemical staining4 of acetone-fixedfrozen tissue sections.
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withPE under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated PE andunconjugated antibody.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Restrictions For Research Use only
