Description
CD87, known as urokinase plasminogen activator-receptor (uPAR), is a 36-68 kD single-chainglycophosphotidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein. The extracellular region of CD87 consists of three homologousdomains, D1, D2, and D3. Membrane-bound and soluble (D2D3) forms of uPAR have been reported. Themembrane-bound CD87 is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells and keratinocytes. CD87 plays a role in cell adhesion and chemotaxis through binding to beta1, beta2 and beta3 integrins. CD87-bound uPA converts plasminogen to plasmin.

Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 20 ul per million cells or 2.0 ul per 100 ul of wholeblood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. Additional reported applications include: VIM5 mAb binds to uPA binding-domain
