Description
Gr-1 is a 21-25 kD protein also known as Ly-6G/Ly-6C. This myeloid differentiation antigen is aglycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked protein expressed on granulocytes and macrophages. In bone marrow, theexpression levels of Gr-1 directly correlate with granulocyte differentiation and maturation, Gr-1 is also transientlyexpressed on bone marrow cells in the monocyte lineage. Gr-1+ cells have recently been implicated in thedevelopment of antitumor responses. The RB6-8C5 antibody has been used to identify peripheral blood neutrophilsand deplete granulocytes in vivo.

Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 0.25 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul volume. It isrecommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for eachapplication.* PerCP has a maximum absorption of 482 nm and 564 nm and a maximumemission of 675 nm. Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: in vitro complement-mediated cytotoxicity2, in vivodepletion3-5,9, immunoprecipitation1, immunohistochemical staining6,9 of zinc-fixed paraffin-embedded sections andacetone-fixed frozen sections, and Western blotting7. Special Note: This antibody is not recommended forformalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. The LEAF
