Description
|
Bcl-3 is a 46 kD proto-oncogene candidate that is identified by its translocation into the immunoglobulin alpha-locus insome cases of B-cell leukemia. Due to its seven ankyrin repeats, it is closely related to I kappa B proteins. Thisprotein functions as a transcriptional co-activator that activates through its association with NF-kappa B homodimers. The expression of this gene can be induced by NF-kappa B, which forms a part of the autoregulatory loop thatcontrols the nuclear residence of p50 NF-kappa B. The Ham150-5.3 clone has shown to be useful for westernblotting.
