Description CD26 is a 110 kD type II membrane protein also known as ADA-binding protein and dipeptidyl peptidase IV(DVPPIV). It is a member of the peptidase and ectoenzyme family. CD26 is expressed on the membrane thymocytes,T lymphocytes (unpregulated upon activation), B cells, NK cells, macrophages, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells.Rat CD26 (unlike in humans) does not bind ADA, but may interact with extracellular matrix proteins such asfibronectin or collagen. CD26 plays an integral role as a costimulatory molecule in T cell activation.

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 0.25 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul volume. Itis recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for eachapplication. Additional reported applications(for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, andimmunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixed frozen sections.
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C.
