Description
SIK2 (Salt inducible kinase 2) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily,CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) subfamily, predicted molecular weight 104 kD. SIK2 is found inadipocytes and might be involved in metabolic regulation in adipose tissue.Sik2 phosphorylates ser794 of human insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS1) ininsulin-stimulated adipocytes, playing important roles in modulating theinsulin-signaling cascade of adipocytes. Clone S15G10 has been shown tobe useful for western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunoflorencestaining of human SIK2 protein.

Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. ForWestern blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 5 ug per 5 ml antibodydilution buffer for each mini-gel. For immunofluorescence microscopy: Use adilution range of 1~4 ug/ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated foroptimal performance for each application.
