Description
TNF beta is also known as lymphotoxin alpha (LT-alpha), a homotrimeric polypeptidesecreted by activated T and B lymphocytes, which binds to the TNF receptors TNFR1, TNFR2and HVEM (herpes virus entry mediator receptor). TNF-beta was originally isolated due to its cytotoxic effects on tumour cells, and has sincebeen identified as a regulator of many cellular processes and a potent mediator ofinflammation and immune responses against invading pathogens.
Specificity
This antibody is specific for tumour necrosis factor beta (TNF beta). This antibodyrecognises both the natural and recombinant forms of TNF beta, and can be used to stainTNF beta producing cells, using immunoperoxidase or immunofluorescence techniques. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Application Notes
