Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 10g/mL. Western Blot: 0.5 - 1.0g/mL, detects a band of approximately 155 kDa in SW1353 celllysates. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
ASK1 is a serine/threonine kinase, also known as MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKK), and plays an important role in the apoptotic response to various stimuli including oxidative stress, cytokines (e.g. TNF) and endoplasmic reticulum stress. Akt in conjunction to Hsp90 phosphorylates ASK1 at Ser83 to inhibit ASK1 induced apoptosis. ASK1 is widely expressed in a variety of human tissues including the heart and pancreas.Synonyms: Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1, MAP3K5, MAPK/ERK kinase kinase 5, MAPKKK5, Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5
