Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
    Specificity
This antibody recognises CD86. Domain depletion epitope mapping studies indicate that the binding site of Mouse anti Human CD86, Clone Bu63 is located within the Ig-v-like domain of Human CD86 (Jeanin et al. 1997).
    Purification
    Affinity Chromatography on Protein A
    Immunogen
Human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Spleen cells from immunised mice were fused with cells of the P3 X63 Ag8.653 myeloma cell line.
    Clone
    BU63
    Isotype
    IgG1

    Background
CD86 is a 70kD cell surface protein expressed by activated B cells and monocytes. CD86 is also known as B7-2 and is the second ligand for CD28 and CTLA-4. It may have an important role in costimulation of T cells in the primary immune response.Synonyms: Activation B7-2 antigen, B7.2, B70, BU63, CD28LG2, CTLA-4 counter-receptor B7.2, FUN-1, T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD86
