Additional Information

Alternative name CD2
Swiss-Prot P06729
Immunogen Normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Spleen cells from immunised BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse X63.653 myeloma cell line
Cross-Reactivity Human, Monkey
Isotype IgG2b  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone LT2
Description CD2 is expressed by T cells, NK cells and thymocytes. CD2 is a receptor for CD58 (LFA-3), and is important in mediating the interaction between T cells and target cells or antigen presenting cells. Alternate Names: E-ROSETTE RECEPTOR.
Specificity This antibody is a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein of 50kD. This antibody inhibits NK cell mediated cytotoxicity, and ConA and PHA mediated blast transformation.

Application Details

Application Notes Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of 1/50-1/100 diluted antibody to label 10e6 cells in 100 ul. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections (1/200-1/400). Recommended Positive Control Tissue: Human Tonsil. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
