Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-EDYDSQRKNSEDTLY, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001845.3, NP_542196.2 , NP_542197.2.
Specificity This antibody is expected to recognise all three reported isoforms (NP_001845.3, NP_542196.2 and NP_542197.2).
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name COL11A1
Background Synonyms: COL11A1, collagen, type XI, alpha 1, CO11A, COLL6, STL2, alpha 1 type XI collagen, collagen XI alpha 1, collagen XI, alpha-1 polypeptide
Gene ID 1301
NCBI Accession NP_001845.3, NP_542196.2, NP_542197.2
Research Area Signaling, Extracellular Matrix
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 28 kDa band in lysates of cell lines A431, A549, HEK293 after 0.5 µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 181 kDa according to NP_001845.3. The 28 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
