Description
Digoxigenin (DIG) is a steroid found exclusively in the flowers and leaves of theplants Digitalis purpurea and Digitalis lanata. It is a hapten of highimmunnigenicity which has been used in many molecular biology applications.DIG is related to digoxin, the cardiac glycoside used for the treatment of variousheart diseases.
Specificity
Negligible reactivity has been observed with ouabain. Predicted reactivity: digoxigenin.
Application Notes
Recommended Dilution 1: 100 - 1: 5000 (ELISA). Additional Information: this antibody recognizes digoxigenin, a steroid found in plants. DIG is a standardimmunohistochemical marker for in situ hybridization.
