Additional Information
| Alternative name | Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X1, X3 and X4 (MRGPRX1, 3, 4) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q96LB2 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from human and monkey (macaca mulatta, macaca ascicularis) Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X1, X3 and X4 (MRGPRX1, MRGPRX3, MRGPRX4) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Orphan receptor. Probably involved in the function of nociceptive neurons. May regulate nociceptor function and/or development, including the sensation or modulation of pain. Potently activated by enkephalins including BAM22 (bovine adrenal medulla peptide 22) and BAM (8-22). BAM22 is the most potent compound and evoked a large and dose-dependent release of intracellular calcium in stably transfected cells. G(alpha)q proteins are involved in the calcium-signaling pathway. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Uniquely localized in a subset of small dorsal root and trigeminal sensory neurons. Also known as: Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X1, X3, X4; Sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 3/4, MRGX1, SNSR3, SNSR4, GPCR, MAS-related GPR, member X1, MRGX3, SNSR1, SNSR2, Sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 1/2, Sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 5/6, MRGX4, SNSR5, SNSR6, MAS-related GPR, member X3; MRGPRX4, MRGPRX3, MRGPRX1. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for MRGPRX1, 3 and 4. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
