Additional Information
| Alternative name | trace amine-associated receptor 6 (TAAR6, TaR-4) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q96RI8 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide as a part of human, mouse and rat TAAR6 conjugated to immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Orphan receptor. Could be a receptor fortrace amines.trace amines are biogenic amines present in very low levels in mammalian tissues. Although sometrace amines have clearly defined roles as neurotransmitters in invertebrates, the extent to which they function as true neurotransmitters in vertebrates has remained speculative.trace amines are likely to be involved in a variety of physiological functions that have yet to be fully understood. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed at low abundance in various brain tissues, as well as in fetal liver, but not in the cerebellum or placenta. In the brain, comparable levels of expression in basal ganglia, frontal cortex, substantia nigra, amygdala and hippocampus, highest expression in hippocampus and lowest expression in basal ganglia. Also known as:trace amine-associated receptor 6,trace amine receptor 4, TaR-4, TA4, TAR4, TRAR4, Ta4, Tar4, Trar4. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for TAAR6. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
