Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 3d cytoplasmic domain of mouse 5HT1A receptor (Serotonin receptor 1A, Gpcr18, 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1A) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 96% identity with rat and
Specificity Specific for CASR.
Purification whole serum
Alternative Name 5HT1A Receptor (Serotonin Receptor 1A)
Background Function: This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylate cyclase activity.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Most abundantly expressed in midbrain and cortex. Also known as: Serotonin receptor 1A, Gpcr18, 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1A, Htr1a.
UniProt Q9QY96
Research Area Receptors
Application Notes A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
