Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the extracellular domain of mouse amiloride sensitive cation channel 1, neuronal (ACCN1, ASIC2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in human and rat.
Specificity Specific for MPRD.
Purification whole serum
Alternative Name amiloride sensitive cation channel 1, neuronal (ACCN1, ASIC2)
Background Function: Cation channel with high affinity for sodium, which is gated by extracellular protons and inhibited by the diuretic amiloride. Also permeable for Li(+) and K(+). Generates a biphasic current with a fast inactivating and a slow sustained phase. Heteromeric channel assembly seems to modulate.
Subunit: Homotetramer or heterotetramer with other ASIC proteins. Interacts with STOM. Interacts with PRKCABP and ACCN3.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Note: Localized at the plasma membrane of neurons, in the soma and punctated peripheral processes. Also known as: Amiloride-sensitive brain sodium channel, acid-sensing ion channel 2, ASIC2, brain sodium channel 1, BNaC1, BNC1, mammalian degenerin homolog, ACCN, BNAC1, MDEG.
UniProt Q6AY20
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term.
Expiry Date 12 months
