Additional Information

Alternative name autophagy protein 5 (ATG5, ASP, APG5, APG5L, hAPG5)
Swiss-Prot Q9H1Y0
Immunogen A synthetic peptide as a part of human ATG5 (ASP, APG5, APG5L, hAPG5) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description ATG5 is an important element forautophagy and may also play an important role in the apoptotic process. Following conjugation to ATG12, the conjugate participates in the formation of autophagosome. While the mRNA is ubiquitously transcribed its expression is highly upregulated in apoptotic cells. Also known as: APG5-like, ATG5, ASP, APG5, APG5L, hAPG5, apoptosis-specific protein.
Specificity Appears to be specific for ATG5.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. Use at a dilution of 1:300 to 1: 3000. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Research Area Autophagy
Restrictions For Research Use only
