Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human Axonal membrane protein GAP-43 (Neuromodulin, growth-associated protein 43) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat, mouse, zebra fish a
Specificity Specific for SPOCK1.
Purity whole serum
Alternative Name Axonal membrane protein GAP-43 (Neuromodulin, growth-associated protein 43)
Background Function: This protein is associated with nerve growth. It is a major component of the motile growth cones that form the tips of elongating axons.
Subunit: Binds calmodulin with a greater affinity in the absence of Ca(2+) than in its presence.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Peripheral membrane protein, Cytoplasmic side. Cell projection, growth cone membrane, Peripheral membrane protein, Cytoplasmic side. Cell junction, synapse. Note: Cytoplasmic surface of growth cone and synaptic plasma membranes. Also known as: Neuromodulin, growth-associated protein 43, protein F1, Basp2, B-50.
UniProt Q562B0
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
