Immunogen A synthetic peptide from human Brain-expressed X-linked protein 3 (BEX3, NGFRAP1, NADE) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Specific for BEX3.

Background Function: May be a signaling adapter molecule involved in p75NTR-mediated apoptosis induced by NGF. Plays a role in zinc-triggered neuronal death. May play an important role in the pathogenesis of neurogenetic diseases.
Subunit: Self-associates. Interacts with 14-3-3 epsilon. Interacts with DIABLO/SMAC. Binds to the DEATH domain of p75NTR/NGFR.
Subcellular location: Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Note: Shuttles between the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Associates with replicating mitochondria.
Tissue specificity: Found in ovarian granulosa cells, testis, prostate and seminal vesicle tissue. High levels also detected in liver. Also known as: Protein BEX3, NGFRAP1, p75NTR-associated cell death executor, Nerve growth factor receptor-associated protein 1 (TNFRSF16) associated protein 1, Ovarian granulosa cell 13.0 kDa protein HGR74, BEX3, DXS6984E, NADE, Bex, HGR74, DXS6984E.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
