Additional Information

Alternative name CACNA2D1 (CACNL2A)
UniProt P54289
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human CACNA2D1 (CACNL2A) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is identical in rabbit and shares 90% identity with the corresponding sequences in mouse and rat.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. Plays an important role in excitation-contraction coupling. Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Tissue specificity: Central nervous system, skeletal muscle and aorta tissues. Miscellaneous: Binds gabapentin, an antiepileptic drug. Also known as: Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1, CACNL2A, CCHL2A, MHS3.
Specificity Appears to be specific for CACNA2D1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
