Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human CACNG1 (CACNLG) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.

Description
FUNCTION: This protein is a subunit of the dihydropyridine (DHP) sensitive calcium channel. Plays a role in excitation-contraction coupling. The skeletal muscle DHP-sensitive Ca2+ channel may function only as a multiple subunit complex. Tissue specificity: Skeletal muscle. Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Also known as: Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-1 subunit, Dihydropyridine-sensitive L-type, skeletal muscle calcium channel subunit gamma, CACNLG.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for CACNG1.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
