Additional Information

Alternative name Calcipressin 1 (RCAN1, MCIP1) (internal region)
Swiss-Prot P53805
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Calcipressin 1 (RCAN1, MCIP1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description Function: Inhibits calcineurin-dependent transcriptional responses by binding to the catalytic domain of calcineurin A. Could play a role during central nervous system development. Tissue specificity: Highly expressed heart, brain and skeletal muscle. Also expressed in all other tissues. Also known as: Calcipressin-1, Calcipressin1, Regulator of calcineurin 1, Down syndrome critical region protein 1, Myocyte-enriched calcineurin-interacting protein 1, MCIP1, Adapt78, ADAPT78, CSP1, DSC1, DSCR1, RCAN1.
Specificity Appears to be specific for RCAN1.
Synonyms RCAN1, dscr1, wu:fr92c05, csp1, dsc1, mcip1, adapt78, MGC68988, MGC53636, LOC443255, DSCR1, rcn1, MGC69428, CSP1, DSC1, RCN1, MCIP1, ADAPT78, Dscr1, CALP1L, Adapt78, AA408855, AI429645, AL024459, AV028423, 2410048A02Rik, Mcip1, MGC128596, DKFZp469I0324

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
