Additional Information

Alternative name Cathelin related antimicrobial peptide (Cathelicidin, CAMP, CRAMP)
Swiss-Prot P51437
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from mouse Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (CAP-18, hCAP-18, antibacterial protein LL-37, CAMP, CRAMP, FALL39) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Isotype IgG  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Description Cathelicidin antimicrobial protein is an antimicrobial protein found in specific granules of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. FUNCTION: Acts as a potent antimicrobial peptide. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Secreted. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in testis, spleen, stomach, and intestine. Very low expression found in heart, lung and skeletal muscle. No expression in brain, kidney or liver. Also known as: CAMP, FALL39, FALL-39, 18 kDa cationic antimicrobial protein, CAP-18, LL37, CRAMP, HSD26, Cathelin-like protein, CAP18, FALL39, FALL-39, 18 kDa cationic antimicrobial protein.
Specificity Appears to be specific for Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. Use at a concentration of 10-50 µg/ml. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity IgG
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
