|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide from the internal region of mouse Cation independent mannose 6 phosphate receptor (Insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in rat and shares 95% identity with human's.|
|Description||FUNCTION: Transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex. This receptor also binds IGF2. SUBUNIT: Binds GGA1, GGA2 and GGA3. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Lysosome membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. |Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
