Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Cation independent mannose 6 phosphate receptor (Insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.

Alternative Name Mannose 6 Phosphate Receptor (M6PR Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex. This receptor also binds IGF2.
Subunit: Binds GGA1, GGA2 and GGA3.
Subcellular location: Lysosome membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein. Also known as: CI Man-6-P receptor, CI-MPR, M6PR, Insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor, Insulin-like growth factor II receptor, IGF-II receptor, M6P/IGF2 receptor, M6P/IGF2R, 300 kDa mannose 6-phosphate receptor, MPR 300, CD222 antigen, IGF2R, MPRI.
Application Notes A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
